20 June – Europeana Aggregators Forum Outreach Event

The Europeana Initiative stewards the common European data space for cultural heritage that aims to support the cultural heritage sector and promote the creation, use, and reuse of content in related areas such as the cultural and creative sectors and tourism, as well as education and scientific research, but also other sectors and their data spaces.

You are warmly invited to join us at a Europeana Aggregators’ Forum 5th outreach event to discover the role of aggregators and cultural heritage institutions in publishing aggregated data for re-use and to hear from cultural heritage professionals, researchers, and other professional re-users how they work with the digital collections they find online.

This event will take place on the 20th of June online from 9:45 to 16:00 CEST in English and is open to anyone interested in taking part in the discussion, from organisational and technical perspectives to personal ones. For the first time, this event will also include a workshop in the afternoon (14:00 to 16:00 CEST), organised by one of the data space supporting projects, DE-BIAS.  The focus will be on the AI-powered tool developed by the tool to automatically detect and contextualise harmful and offensive language. The tool’s output will also be available to the audiences on Europeana.eu to provide guidance in how to address the found bias when using and re-using the data.

You can register for the event here.
