As a cross-sectoral and cross domain European network, we observe how digital technologies are reshaping every corner of our sector and in particular our working journey as professionals : the way we create, preserve and share heritage; the way we engage communities; the way we train, collaborate, advocate, etc. Some of us are adapting, learning new tools, rethinking workflows, exploring new formats. Some of us are questioning what this means for our missions, our values, our relationship with the people we serve. Most of us are doing both at once.
Our forum is a space for cultural professionals, practitioners, creators, researchers, students, young professionals and policymakers to work through this transformation together. Not a conference about tools. A space for collective reflection, built around two core questions:
→ How do we adapt? What new skills, methods and practices do we need to keep doing our work well in a changing landscape?
→ How do we stay proactive? How do we uphold our missions and ensure that culture plays an active role in shaping the ethical and democratic dimensions of digital, rather than simply undergoing them?
And behind both: what training, knowledge and resources do we actually need to get there?
Over three days, the programme will bring us through interactive sessions – from hands-on workshops, roundtables and open conversations
Let’s exchange, learn, connect, plan, build together!
The topics we’ll dig into reflect what cultural professionals are grappling with right now: how digital is transforming work in museums, cultural centres and heritage institutions; what it means for training and capacity building across our sector; how digitisation intersects with democracy, access and representation; how institutions maintain their missions in restrictive environments; and what emerging professionals and community engagement projects are already teaching us about the road ahead.
More information will be shared soon.
