Inside the Digital Heritage Summit 2026!
We participated in the Digital Heritage Summit 2026, held in Limassol, Cyprus, from 26–29 May 2026. The summit brought together cultural heritage professionals, researchers, policymakers and technology experts to discuss the future of digital heritage, innovation, and preservation across Europe.
As a cooperating partner of the event, we contributed to discussions on digital transformation, cultural heritage data, and European cooperation in the sector. Our involvement reflects our ongoing mission to support the preservation, promotion and reuse of digital cultural heritage through networking, capacity building, advocacy and participation in major European initiatives.
Our General Coordinator, Corinne Szteinsznaider, represented us at the opening session of a high-level working day dedicated to strengthening European cooperation against the illicit trafficking of cultural goods. Our Policy Manager, Marco Fiore, presented the policy paper developed within the ANCHISE project, addressing key challenges and recommendations related to combating the illicit trafficking of cultural heritage.
Our team member Pier Giacomo Sola actively participated in the hackathon organised by the Europeana Foundation as part of the summit programme, which brought together heritage professionals, developers and innovators to explore new approaches to the reuse and enrichment of cultural heritage data. Corinne Szteinsznaider also contributed as a member of the Jury, helping evaluate the projects and solutions developed by participants.
Through our engagement across policy discussions, collaborative initiatives and innovation-focused activities, we reaffirmed our commitment to fostering cooperation among cultural heritage stakeholders and supporting the development of sustainable, inclusive and forward-looking digital heritage practices across Europe.
