International Conference: Preserving and Promoting Europe’s Sporting Heritage
The My Sporting Heritage project consortium, together with Sport & Citoyenneté and Radiona.org – Zagreb Makerspace, invites you to join the international conference My Sporting Heritage: Preserving and Promoting Europe’s Sporting Heritage, taking place on 12 September 2026 at the Technical Museum Nikola Tesla in Zagreb and online.
The conference is intended for researchers, educators, sport organisations and professionals, museum and cultural heritage professionals, curators, historians, students, digital practitioners, game-based learning professionals and everyone interested in sport and its cultural heritage.
My Sporting Heritage is an Erasmus+ Sport project exploring how Europe’s sporting heritage can be preserved, interpreted, shared and made accessible to different communities and generations. The project brings together expertise from museums, academia, cultural heritage, sport, digital culture and participatory practices.
The conference will bring together European and international perspectives through keynote presentations, examples of practice, panel discussions and a focus session on digitisation, educational gamification and game-based learning. The afternoon programme will include participatory workshops featuring educational tools developed within the project, while the My Sporting Heritage Virtual Gallery and interactive sport installations will be available throughout the conference.
Participation is free, but registration is required.
Participants can join the conference onsite in Zagreb or online.
The working language is English.
