Kicking off 3D-4CH!

The kick-off meeting of the 3D-4CH project was held from 18 to 20 February 2025 in the friendly Italian city of Trento, in the premises of the Fondazione Bruno Kessler.
Lasting 36 months and starting on 1 February 2025, 3D-4CH is co funded by the European Commission within the Horizon Europe Programme. Twenty project partners, coordinated by Inception, an italian start-up working on digital heritage innovation, will set up a 3D competence centre whose main keywords are: cultural heritage, 3D digitisation, 3D technologies, 3D tools, 3D content, artificial intelligence, XR, VR.
The Online Competence Centre in 3D for Cultural Heritage has the ambition to become a hub of resources and support for cultural institutions, researchers, educators, and enterprises in Europe, stimulating them to progressively adopt 3D and related technologies in their workflow, using them in conservation, education, and tourism.
During the kick-off the partners participated in creative workshops, giving suggestions on how to design the hub so that it will offer capacity building resources and certified learning courses, facilitate discussion and collaboration, support cultural institutions in adopting 3D technologies, provide innovative tools and 3D cultural content.
Amongst others, the project will assist Ukrainian cultural heritage institutions with tailored training and tools for digital preservation.
We are proud to be project partners , is involved in several activities, amongst which the identification of target groups that will benefit from the Competence Centre’s services.
