MCA has been selected, alongside 39 other organisations, for funding under the Creative Europe Culture Programme to support European cultural networks, from January 2025 to December 2028.
This support will allow us to strengthen and expand our activities and develop new formats and approaches.

TRANSFORM: A Catalyst for MCA’s Mission
The objectives of the TRANSFORM project consist of allowing a full integration of the activities that we have been developing in the last years with the ongoing strategies and initiatives launched at European level in the field of culture.

Rather than a standalone project, TRANSFORM is a support for MCA to advance our mission to preserve, promote and re-use European Digital Cultural contents  with our members and communities. It enhances our existing activities to empower cultural professionals and institutions in the DCH sector and beyond.

What does it mean concretely? 

TRANSFORM will help us work on innovative ways to enhance our network capacities, with specific tools, activities, resources, and collaborative opportunities such as: 

• thematic working groups;
• peer to peer activities;
• brokerage events; 
• networking activities; 
• capacity building events 
• one annual fora.

In alignment with EU priorities, we aim to address key themes related to digital heritage, including inclusion, climate change, the protection of heritage against illicit trafficking, digital rights, and more.

Key Activities
Through TRANSFORM, MCA will facilitate a range of activities aimed at advancing the DCH sector:

• Policy mapping and analysis to support members in navigating funding opportunities and European policies.
• Research initiatives, including surveys on digital transformation and the impact of digitization on democracy, accessibility, and education.
• Capacity-building events focused on critical topics such as inclusion, digital sustainability, and climate change.
• Advocacy efforts to position DCH as a driver of societal and environmental sustainability.
• Matchmaking and networking events to encourage partnerships and collaborations across Europe and beyond.
